Ghost town?

I check the LA board periodically and it is mostly a ghost town.  I believe we should have a Meet & Greet like every couple of months maybe this would help. 

What exactly is a meet & greet? How does it work?

Someone usually has to take the iniative to be the organizer.  You try to get surrounding area WLS patients and/or people who may be contemplating WLS surgery and you get together at a convenient place for everyone.  We usually have dinner and dancing or dinner and a movie.  You can even do clothing exchanges etc. This gives you the opportunity to meet some of the beautiful people here on OH.  I would love to see the LA board start meet and greets.

I agree with having a meet and greet every now and then.  Let me know about the Baton Rouge, LA thing you were talking about awhile back Faith.

I'm in Dry Creek... near DeRidder... if that doesn't narrow it down enough, about an hour north of Lake charles.... I just had a sleeve by Dr Chung last Friday and am going to have the drain removed today - woohoo!

Hi Geri, Congrats on your surgery.  I pray all continues to go well for you.

I would definately be there if we had a meet and greet! I'm afraid I couldn't volenteer to organize it, but I'll definately help any way I can!!

i think i would like to meet more people from our state that has had success with wls. i mean we are known for our food why not be known for getting healthy and maybe if we see one another in person that could inspire everyone to stick with it.
