I will be hosting a support group meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Beauregard Parish Library in DeRidder, Louisiana. If you are interested, please email me ASAP to advise whether you will be attending or if you'd like, I can call you. Magazines and samples will be given away. I am looking forward to the learning experience and having the much needed support for all of us to complete our journey's.

Hi there Lady! Girl, it is about 260 miles or about 4-5 hour drive.

DeRidder is north of Lake Charles ... just an estimate, but I would guess around 3 - 3.5 hours... maybe even close to 4...... Its about 2.5 hours from Baton Rouge...
If you do come for a meeting... let us know... maybe we can all get together in advance and take a walk around the park ... DeRidder has a very nice city park with a walking path.

Not sure if I can make this meeting or not but if I can, I would love to attend. I live in the Dry Creek area but work in DeRidder. I am scheduled for surgery in less than 3 weeks and would love to chat with some people who have been where I am now.

I did! I made it through day one of liquids and did really good ... I felt hungry a time or two but toughed it out. I am ready to tackle day 2!!!! A walk would be fun! Can't wait ... I'll mix us both a protien shake to enjoy prior to the walk! (You up for that... just a little peek into the rest of your life!!!!) My Jillian tape for WiiFit should arrive today too... woohoo! Can't wait!
I'll be on the road most of the day ... part of the time will be in the boonies... but the rest will be in clear cell areas... give me a call so we can bounce times....

ps.... my scale is moving in the downward position!!!! Gosh, last time that happened it was broke!!!! Hopefully, this time its me all me!
