Has anybody had any trouble schedualing surgery with Dr. Charles Thomas?

I recieved my approval letter from my insuance company over 2 months ago. I can't get a surgery date or an explaination as to why. Phone calls and e-mails to the Bariatric cordinater have not been returned at all in the last 3 weeks. Does anybody have any knowledge or advise for me about Dr. Charles Thomas at West Jeff medical center? I really liked him and the staff although I am upset and confused about this situation. Wow, that is crazy.  I would find another surgeon and hospital.

Right now he is the only one on the plan. Thursday a review committee will meet to look over the contract and hopefully approve me for another Dr., I hope. I really liked him but you are right it has been crazy not to mention depressing and I have no clue as to why this is happening. Insurance is great to have but sometimes we really get rapped up in the red tape. Thanks for your response. Sue

Thank you. I have done that as of today. I hope I have an appointment with Dr. Michael Thomas and Dr. Warden. I have given up on Dr. Charles Thomas I guess our insurance did to . They gave my approval to go out of network for Dr. and Hospital. It will cost me more but everything does these days. Thanks for the info. Sue
