Has anyone used Dr. Borland in New Iberia?

I am considering using Dr. Borland and would like to hear from some of his patients.

Hello, I haven't used him nor do I know anyone that has. I live in New Iberia and I decided to go with a known surgeon in Lafayette at Southwest medical Center. My mother-in-law is a nurse supervisor at Dauterive Hosp in New Iberia and she forbid me to use any surgeon in New Iberia (she gave me no names) because they see alot of complications from them. My sister and I have both used Dr. Borland.  We both had RNY, she did in 12/06 lost over 120 lbs, she started at 240 lbs and I in 10/07 lost over 85 lbs, I started at 226 lbs.  He and his staff are great!  He gives you all the details and you can call at anytime with any questions you have and not made to feel like you are bothering him. 

Thank you for your response.  I have an appointment Monday with him for VSG.  I can't wait to meet him.  I am already starting to feel very comfortable with the information I have on him. 

Sue,  hope i'm not prying...but how did your appointment with Dr. Borland go yesterday?  I forgot to tell u that I will be a year out on the 15th and I have yet to have any complications.  Hope that makes u feel better about using him as your surgeon.
