Walk From Obesity Event - Slidell

WALK FROM OBESITY

To help fight the growing epidemic of morbid obesity, The Surgical Specialists of Louisiana, in conjunction with Southern Surgical Hospital, is sponsoring the annual American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery's Walk From Obesity in Slidell, LA

The Walk From Obesity is the only annual nation-wide event to increase awareness of the life threatening disease of obesity and to raise funds for research, prevention and advanced treatments. To date, the Walk From Obesity has raised more than $2.3 million on behalf of those affected by obesity.

This year the Slidell Area Walk From Obesity will be held on Saturday October 4, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. at Southern Surgical Hospital in Slidell .

We invite you to register and participate by walking the distance most comfortable for you.  We also encourage you to get a group of friends or co-workers together and form a team.

oh this is awesome.  I'll definitely try and get that day off work so I can participate.
