Tickfaw State Park: Take-a-hike, take-a-bike, ride a canoe or two!

Tickfaw State Park is located outside Baton Rouge near Springfield. Join your weight loss surgery friends for an afternoon and evening of outdoor fun. There's biking, hiking, fishing and canoe rentals (or bring your own). We plan to bring our brat and our bikes and hit some trails, cool off in the splashing sprinklers and then maybe grill some dinner. There's lots of good, clean outdoors fun for everyone. Frances, when is this happening? i don't live to far away from the park and would like to join you all. Do we bring all that is needed to feed us or pot luck and drinks (water, gatoraid, etc), Please let me know, sounds like fun and would like to join all of you too. I can bring by bike as well.

This sounds like it's gearing up for lots of fun. Please bring drinks, snacks and I'll try to get enough stuff to grill for a few families. The admission to the park is just $1 a head. I'll PM you my cell phone number and we can coordinate on the details. Frances

I know y'all had a good time . . my sister, husband, and her chilldren went to Tiki Tubing on the 4th and said they had a great time --- she said it was wonderful and I would definitely like to do it some time --- hope your health is improving and hope to talk to you soon . . FAYE 

I didn't know we even had a park....been living her for like a year or more! Silly me I guess.

Lance ---- NO WAY!!! It's huge, it's beautiful.....you must go there....canoeing, biking, water playground, picnic, grills, hiking galore. We are going back soon. I think it should become the OH-LA meeting place. EVERYBODY: Party over at Lance's house.

That would be fabulous if we could all get together there and meet up. I have a hard time getting to support group meetings so that would be great I'm sure it's very close to me haha.
