To all of my Ochsner Support Meeting Friends

 On Tuesday, June 24th, Cigna called and gave me the good news. They approved my RNY surgery after they denied me on Friday June 20. Reason for the denial........they needed a medical clearance letter from my PCP. I saw her on the 18th and was cleared for surgery. So on Monday my PCP faxed the letter to Cigna. I couldn't believe what I was hearing on Tuesday so I called Dr. Richardson's office and his office confirmed it Friday. My surgery is scheduled for July 21st.

Thanks Dreamz, yes, I am going to try and make the July 15th meeting. I just started a part time job, from 10am-2pm. I need to see Dr. Richardson on the 8th and asked my supervisor if I could leave at 12:00 and she said she's fexible as long as I work my 4 hours a day. Woohoo!!!!!! thats my kind of job!!! Hope to be at the July meeting!

Thanks Lance. I met with Dr. Richardson and his group Tuesday. They're awesome!! Laura introduced us to the new dietician who will be working with her. Come and join our support group meetings.
