when am I full?
Good Morning Ya'll
I have a question......when do I know when I am full? I had my RNY on May 7th and am still on puree's, ocasionally I will eat a small portion of say shrimp, pork, chicken, and just chew it to the puree state it is supposed to be in. I always measure what I eat in a small baby food 2.5oz container so I know that I don't over indulge. I just can't tell if I'm full or not......will it ever happen?
You're still too early out to have the full or empty feelings in your stomach. The surgery cuts the nerves in that area. I forgot how long it takes to feel "normal" again. I'm thinking about 3 months, but I could be wrong. That's why you need to measure what you eat. You have no other way to know when enough is enough.
Hey there, just saw this note. I'm so happy you're doing so well. It is so scary to get any kind of surgery, and this one that rearranges your insides is really scary.
Here's wishing the best of luck to your husband too.
Are you going to the support group tomorrow night? I'm going to try to make it.
At this stage, measure. I'm over two years out now, and I know I'm full when I sneeze. I only use that as a sign when I'm eating too fast, and I know it... it does happen when one is trying to lead a 'normal' life... LOL.. with the hectic schedules we all have to deal with. Good luck to you with everything.
