How do you choose a psychatrist(sp)?  Does he, Dr  Leblanc, have al ist to choose from? Thanks, Natguba

Hello, again, Nat! Dr. LeBlanc's office has a list of frequently-used psychiatrists(sp). I wanted to go a little "out of the box" and chose one that had been in the news a lot. I knew I wasn't having any particular problems, so I thought "why not make it interesting!" Twas that. My surgery was covered by my insurance, but the pysch evaluation wasn't. Good luck and pleasant journey! Frances

Dr. LeBlanc's office told me that if I didn't have a psychiatrist that I wanted to go to they have a list of doctors and would schedule an appt. for me.  For some reason my insurance (Humana) said I had a deductible for psychiatrist and they paid the balance --- wouldn't pay for the surgery but paid for the psychiatrist!  Unfortunately, I was not impressed at all with the psychiatrist -- when I first walked in and she was talking to me her cell phone rang and she actually took the call because she said she didn't recognize the number ????  She had a small piece of paper with some questions scribbled on it and she said "they" wanted her to ask specific questions. . .  The entire visit lasted about 20 minutes --- but it was a requirement before surgery and served the purpose, I guess! . . I have a friend who has a psychiatrist and she paid so much less . . good luck on your decision!  FAYE
