Just curious - what are some of the things you are allowed to eat at four weeks out?

Hey C, Cottage cheese (which doesnt interest me), cream of wheat (havent tried it yet), applesauce that I have made (really good), V-8, popcicles, puddings, bananas, smoothies. I did have the gladiator and it was pretty good although kinda of chalky, cream soup w ff milk. That about it. If I tried hard enough I could find a way, its just easier to eat the same things. But, that has got to change and NOW! Jan

Oh Jan - take a walk on the wild side and stir things up a bit and mix that cream of wheat with applesauce!   I know you have enough, but girl I am so envious!  I am ready to be four weeks out!!!!  Still trucking along with the pre-op diet and just hoping I am getting somewhere.  I can possibly imagine that with the little amount of food I am taking in that I did not lose any weight, but I sure don't feel like I have lost anything.  A very frustrating cir****tance indeed.  I want validation that my efforts are paying off!  I did order a scale that accomodates my size, but it didn't come in yet....argh!!!!

Its all worth it, dear. You will drop some pre-op weight and its that much more you wont have to lose. Are you ready for the day?? Listen, are you going to the support group on Monday?? I just got back fom getting a Gladiator.....w bananas and 45 protein. I had 40 already this am. Went to exercise and 1 1/2 Hrs. I'm beat.

I have a crazy evening schedule between homework with my niece and supervision for my clinical social work license, so my ability to make Monday meetings is limited.  Of course, I would be able to go 3/24 but it looks like they are not holding one because that day is Easter Monday.  Then I am out of town two weeks in April ... unless I get a call that my surgery is scheduled ... if that happens, business travels are cancelled!  So, all of that to say - it is going to be awhile before I can get myself back to the meeting.      PS:  What is a Gladiator? Although I know I couldn't drink anything chaulky tasting.  I am struggling with these protein drinks.

I didn't find the protein drinks too bad, in fact I found they better than the ones drink now. But, I got to have regular meals at lunch and dinner. Although, limited yo meats and veggies only.

Jan, I used to love the Gladiator.  I was so glad when I could start drinking them.  We would go walk at Lakeside and I would get one there and I would drink while we were walking.  That is amazing that you can exercise for 1 and 1/2 hours.  You are going to reach your goal very fast.

Lyn, I'm finding that I sort of dump or get rather uncomfortable on the Gladiator. I dont know if it is too much protein or maybe they put too many banana. Where did you get your Gladiator?? And how did you make yours. Help needed!! I cannot get in 800 calories, its not possible for me right now. The Nut said 800 calories. I don't find her too helpful actually. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I do however get my protein in by the hardest. Yesterday, I did the Zumba class (all types of Latin dances) for an hour FUN FUN FUN!! And 30 min. on the treadmill before that. I didnt exactly move like the instructor did. If I dont get in those calories that 1 1/2 hrs could dwindle. I like Premier, very friendly people there. How are you?? So, you finally got your protein in the mail. I'm too lazy too find anything else out there. I love my Fuzzy Navel and roadhouse Lemon. But, that will get old too.

Jan, The only place that sells Gladiator is Smoothie King.  I didn't have a problem with dumping on it.  Next time you get it tell them to put less turbinate in it or none at all.  I think the turbinate might have too much sugar for you.   Is that the Premier on Airline?  I go to Elmwood Fitness because it's close to my house and I get an employee discount since I work at Ochsner.   You can always add SF syrup or SF dry Jello pdding mix to protein to change the flavor.  I found some Davinci SF white chocolate syrup at TJ Max on Vets.  It is awesome in my protein shakes.
