Frances
Hi Jan, thanks for thinking about me. I'm still very sore and I don't sleep well at night because moving is so painful. I'm not having regular hunger, but when I do eat something, it's going down with no problems.
I've been in the house more than I'm accustomed to and I'm worrying about getting behind with work and bills piling up -- so that part sounds like normal Frances.
There's a big, warm lump where the band/port used to be. It's very bruised, but I'm very brown so it's not looking too bad, just lumpy.
Glad to hear from you,
Frances

You are still complaining of pain. Did the finally determine that the band was causing you the pre-op pain and the pain you are having now is due to the surgery? Or, is there a possibility you are going to continue to experience the pains you were having pre-op? Either way, I am still praying for you...but I sure hope having the band removed brings you some relief! Best wishes - C
Hi C!
The surgery to remove the band involved a lot of cutting and rearranging. I'm hoping this pain is just healing from that trauma. It is hard to tell, of course, because it's been off-the-chart pain for quite a few days. I also have a chest cold or sinus infection-type thing, so I'm coughing and each cough sends me into waves of abdominal pain near the largest incision.
But I am eating -- not too hungry, but eating without much trouble and no golf-ball feelings in my chest. Let's decide that this is indeed a good thing.
Thanks for the well wishes,
Frances
Thanks, Bobbye! I went into the office today. I have still have swelling at the surgery site. The pain is there, but better. It spikes at times. Cecilia must go to school this week, but if I run out of rides for her, I'll consider letting her stay at home. She's not kind when I'm hurting. Yeah, I stress over bills -- that's me, but I'm trying to pour all my problems on the altar and leave them there. Frances
