How to get the fat lady out of the mirror

Does anyone have any idea on how to get the fat lady out of the mirror?  You know what I mean.  No matter how much you've lost you always look bigger to yourself than you do to others.  I always have to try clothes on because they don't "look" like they would fit, because I "look" bigger than that.  I know its a mind thing, just hoping someone has suggestions on how to overcome it.

I went for a whole new look...  I got tired of seeing the same fat girl...  I chopped all my hair off, started buying different style of clothes, and got new funky glasses.  I don't necessarily feel like I look smaller, but I sure do feel pretty!!!!  To me that's all that matters.  I find when I feel better about myself, I don't focus so much on the fat girl I think I see...  (even though I'm still really fat!!... LOL!)

I quess its just a wls thing.  Ive cut my hair, went back to contacts and new slim glasses.  My wardrobe has changed.  The fat lady still lurks.  Anywho I am healthier than I was and I feel great and everyone tells me I look great so I guess I will have to banish the fat lady from my mind.  It is sometimes very difficult.

What helps me is taking lots of pictures of myself and looking at them. I swear I'm still shocked when I see myself in a picture (especially standing next to someone I thought was a lot smaller than me). It really helps give me a clearer idea of what size I am. Besides, my husband got tired of playing the "Am I as fat as her? Is she skinnier than me?" game. Hope this helps, Jen

I can soooo relate to the "Am I as fat as her?" game, I do that all the time. It has gotten to the point that I don't even have to ask the full question anymore, I say "IMTB" which means "I'm that big?" I'm glad to know I'm not the only one doing that to my hubby :)
