Houston OH Event (I know it's early to ask)

I have never been to an OH Event and it looks like one is scheduled for Houston, Texas (which is the closest event to me) in November 2008.  What's the event like?  Is anyone planning on going?

All the different stories I've read from people who went to the events seem to be very positive. I didn't really see anyone talk much about the speakers and programs, etc. What everyone talks about is meeting each other. Houston may be do-able for me too. It's about 6 hours from New Orleans. Something to think about.

I hope you consider going.  I am just waiting for them to post the hotel and ticket info and I am as good as there.

Hello Faith, I've attended two OH events -- Houston three years ago and Lexington about a year and a hal*****hey were awesome. I few of us traveled by RV to Houston and a good friend and I flew to Lexington.  It's a lot of information and experiences to get done in a couple of days, but we've got nothing, but energy, right? I would love to go but November is such a busy month for me.  It will all depend on which weekend.  I already know I will be out of town the first weekend of November and the weekend before Thanksgiving is my sons birthday so that weekend is out too.  Who knows it may be on my one and only open weekend.

You look great!  Well, I do hope you can make it because it seems like it is a great place to network and meet the people that you have been talking with online.  Right now I think the schedule is tentatively set for November 15/November 16.

Thank you for the nice compliment....You would know that is the weekend of my son's birthday.  Well, you never know he may want to go camping and dirtbike riding that weekend and if so I would be able to attend.

I have never been.  However, if you read the replies of Frances S. the event sounds fun.  I hope you will be able to go.  I am certain as it gets closer more people can make definite plans.  I have it on my calendar to go now.
