Does anyone have Type 1 Diabetes?

Hi everyone, I have an appointment with Dr. Barnes on Monday (3-10-08). I wondering is there anyone in the forum or anyone you all know has Type 1 Diabetes and had gastric bypass?  If so what kind of results did they get?

I can't help you with your question but I wanted to say it is nice to see another North Louisiana poster....Welcome to the board. 

There is a lady on the VSG forum who has type 1 diabetes, Jeni Ono...  She has been amazingly successful...  She continues to be a huge inspiration to me.  Just a few weeks ago, she was taken off her insulin pump and can maintain her diabetes with minimal medication and diet.
