Hi Jodi,      I exercised twice this week-end.  Feeling pretty good.  Saturday by blood pressure was below normal.  Can you believe that!!!  I did 1 hour of exercise this morning with my good friend Carol. I'm still on full liquids. I got in about 20 protein grams.  I know that isnt much and didnt get in all of my fluids.   1 bowl of split pea soup and took me an hour to fini**** 1 small bottle of spicy V-8 juice. 2 jello cups 2 SF popsicles Mexican Food love it too.

Jan, That is awesome about your blood pressure.  I am so happy for you.  Be careful to watch it and discontinue any blood pressure meds if it gets too low.  I know people that had gastric bypass and their BP got so low it made them dizzy and weak.

Yeah, I think that is what happened on Saturday morning walking the beach road. Anyway, that is what my husband thought too. Never thought I'd have to worry about low pressure.

Lynn - you are my hero about those protein shakes.  I sure hope I can keep them up like you have post surgery.  What is your secret?  I am starting the pre-op diet on Wednesday.  What are your suggestions for making these protein drinks tolerable?

You need to try many different proteins to find one that you like.  I was just lucky to find one that I really like.  It is Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack Cookies & Cream.  After my surgery my favorite was Banana Scream by the same company.  But then Champion Nutrition came out with Cookies & Cream and I bought a sample of it and loved it.  I add different SF syrups or one teaspoon of dry SF Jello pudding mix or one teaspoon of peanut butter.  Using different additives changes the flavor and you don't get tired of the same flavor.  I mix 1 and 1/2 scoops of protein, 5 oz of water and 4 ice cubes and blend in my bullet.  I have a bullet at home and one at work.  After I blend, then I pour the shake into a glass over more ice.  I like my shakes very cold.  I really believe that the people who continue the shakes are the ones that keep from gaining all the weight back.  You can buy protein samples at vitalady.com  Good luck with your surgery.
