Good morning, it is Wednesday half way through the week... Yesterday was a pretty good day, I went for my yearly checkup and my PCP was very excited about my weight....as was I.  I weighed a pound less on his scale.  Doing great!!! No protein in the morning and very limited coffee, didn't want anything extra when I weighed.  I am obsessed!!! B  Turkey sandwich L  WW frozen dinner  S ounce or two of cashews D  Hamburger patty, lettuce and cheese....no bread. A few french fries Got in my fluids, it was hard but I did it.  Off to work, got a busy day as the end of the month is crazy where I work... I love craziness.. Hope all is well, if I don't respond just know I worked a long day...I know what the end of the month does to me... Have a great day..

Good Morning, Yes, its hump day I had 40 grams of protein....Fuzzy navel. And 30 zo of fluid. Not enough. My blood pressure has been creeping up since the surgery. My question is "How does RNY effect my medications??

Howdy J-Ko Didn't we cover that "certain" people on this board were a little, well, HIGH-STRUNG, and our, (ahem) their blood pressures are often a little whacky when change and stress is high? I can "think" about my blood pressure and it goes up. As a matter of fact, I once called my PCP because my blood pressure was high and my head was hurting. The nurse I spoke to looked at my chart, mentioned something about 'anxiety' and then proceeded to tell me that I was anxious about my blood pressure and I should stop taking and it would get better. I'm looking for a new PCP ... and an alibi

Hey there Frances, Lordy, dealing with blood pressure is just exhausting. But only 1 med today. Bp was 140/90 this morning with meds. But, husband put me on 150 of Tekturna (new drug). So, hopefully, when he gets home it will be lower. My first appt. post op is Friday and I'll let you guys know how well it went. Hope you are feeling better Frances. Jan

Yesterday was another day of the same breakfast and lunch as I buy my breakfast and lunch from my company's cafeteria. S protein shake B 2 slices of bacon, a little grits and scrambled eggs S protein shake L small salad from salad bar at work  S protein shake D 2 small pieces of left over chicken from Sunday, hubby is still sick and didn't want to go anywhere for dinner. My hubby feels better today since he stopped the Augmentin that was making him vomit.  His PCP said to call back if he is not better by Friday.  Our son said he will call in a prescription for another antibiotic if he needs it.

He is doing a little better.  He has asthma so a chest cold lasts a long time.  Also he refused to stay home from work.  His stomach is still messed up from the Augmentin and he is still wheezing.  Thanks for asking.

No he doesn't.  I don't think his PCP is very competent.  I have been begging him to change to my PCP.  My hubby likes his PCP because he doesn't order very many tests and fluffs off everything.  My hubby is a big chicken when it comes to doctors even though one of our sons is a doctor.  LOL Remember how I thought my husband's stomach problems were caused by the Augmentin so he stopped taking it.  Well, last night I had vomiting and diarrhea all night.  So it must have been a virus that my hubby gave to me. I am so weak.  I called in sick.  I never miss work or am late for work.  It kills me to miss work.  I hope I can go to work tomorrow.  If not, then I will have to go in on Saturday or Sunday to get caught up.  Also my youngest son is flyingg in this weekend with his wife.  They are both standing in a wedding.  We were supposed to have breakfast with them Sunday morning but I am afraid that they will catch the virus.  They are moving to their new house on 3/8 and don't need to be sick.

Stay home Lynn. Sounds like you contracted your hubby's virus. You might have just a 24 bug, lets hope so. I know my husband said his office is full of flu bugs and viruses too. He never gets sick. Runs 3-5 miles everyday and weights 2x days. I'm feeling better today since you told me that Lavin only does proximal. Which I thinks makes a big difference on the malabsorption issues. Thanks, alot for that. Hope you feel better. Do you need some beef broth from my favorite Vietnamese Rest?? Good, Good. You know, if your over the virus, shouldnt your kids be ok for Sunday breakfast?? Jan
