Ok, so the post from Christie got me to thinking..... I would like to start a new tread everyday called accountability.  I see this on some of the other forums and maybe it will work here too.. Post what you did the day before and how you handled the day...maybe someone will have some advice for you to help you stay on track.  We have all come so far we just need to support each other  and get back into the swing of things.... So here we go....I wil post my day yesterday.  Protein shake when I woke up with my coffee B  Turkey sandwhich on whole wheat bread/litte mayo L  We had a catered lunch yesterday for several guests that were in from out of town....it was catfish and I don't eat anything that swims and didn't want to pull out my WW lunch so I ate a couple of french fries and a spoonful of coleslaw....I also had about two tablespoons of banana pudding  D  Took my  kids out for dinner....Hubby out of town...Ribeye steak, baked potato and salad.       Brought more than half home, had a few more bites around 9 pm, S  Two pieces of Godvia chocolates. Got in all my fluids too. My activities....getting the office ready for our guests.  I did pull weeds in front of our building earlier in the week and I am still very sore from that..... Join in and lets do this everyday and support one another, whether you area grad or newbie....

Maybe accountability isn't food or exercise. I'm trying to stay focused on pushing for wellness and being a pain in the side of doctors and medical practices. Today, I've researched uterine treatment options and continued plotting a course for wellness.  Sometimes weight is a good scape goat for all that ails ya. We should, however, remember that even as we knock down those weight goals, we need to get our pap smears, watch blood pressure/blood sugar, have all the regular screenings and tests -- just like normal-sized people. I've gotten away from three meals a day because of pain and nausea. I think my goal today is to find things that are tolerated to help my blood count and anemia. No steak for me, Jodi, but I might attempt high protein, high iron soup options. Right now, I'm doing a great big mug of hot chocolate milk. Got protein So, my advice for newbies: Keep focused on the big picture even as your picture gets smaller! Onward! Frances

Frances,

You are right, there are many way things we need to be accountable for ...I hope you find the answers to your problems.  Good for you for doing your own research.  It sure is nice to go into the doctors office loaded with your own information.....

I think we all need to be focused on the the big picture whether we are a grad or newbie....HEALTH, with good health everything else hopefully will fall into place.

Wish I had  big mug of hot chocolate with protein.  I need to get me some more chocolate protein....maybe I wil hit the stores today....after I clean out my closet...if I'm not to tired from doing that.

Yea, Godiva....I still dump on sugar. I think he must be trying to kill me, wonder if he increased my life insurance.   I still love a good piece every now and then.  At least I don't eat the whole box at one time.. You sound like you are doing great, keep up the good work.  Remember the more you move the more that gas moves out... I remember when I had my hysterectomy, I had so many people give me stuff from Bath and Bodyworks.  They had just opened up here.  I was beginning to think they were trying to tell me something.   Keep up the good work.

Jodi, This is a great idea. When I first wake up every morning, I have a protein shake. During the week, this is at 4:30am.   B    6:15am 2 slices of bacon, a little scrambled egg and a few      mouthfuls of grits S  10am  another protein shake L  Noon   tuna salad on a bed of lettuce S   3:30p  another protein shake D   a few boiled shrimp S    Dannon Light & Fit I have not gone to the gym all week.  My husband has been sick with a chest cold and I was extremely busy at work.  That is no excuse but I am going today and tomorrow and will go at least 3 times after work next week.

So do you find that you get up that early on the weekends too. I get up at 5:30 and I am lucky to sleep in till 6:30.   If your husband is like mine when he gets sick the whole world comes to an end.  Hope he gets better soon.  Glad to hear you are working out, I need to get better at that... Well off to finish cleaning out my closet.  A chore I hate!!!

I usually sleep til 6am on weekends but I have been up since 4am this morning.  I was at Walmart at 6am. My husband is just like your husband.  He worked all week but acted like he was dying.  He does have asthma so I was concerned.  I kept telling him to call the doctor and he finally did yesterday.  The doctor couldn't see him but he called in 4 prescriptions to the pharmacy. Does your daughter still love LSU?  How's she doing?

My youngest has asthma, it can be scary....I hope he gets to feeling better.

Yes, Taylor is still in love with LSU.  She didn't do as well as she would have liked last semester but is doing much better this semester.  She got real homesick and came home (she deals with anxiety issues and I think this had a lot to do with it) she ended up missing  a couple of classes but was doing ok,  she then got into an accident  and missed two weeks right before finals.  That really messed her up.  She feel through a broken sewer grate and messed up her knee pretty bad.  She ended up getting lodged in the grate and could not get her leg out.  Her leg was cut up pretty bad and with the swelling her knee was about three times the size of her normal knee. She was on some heavy duty pain meds and ended up having a reaction to those.  This happened in November and when she came home for Christmas she still had a lot of swelling.  She was on crutches for about 6 weeks.  Despite that and the fact that her car was broken into last weekend she loves it down there.  Thanks for asking....sorry I kind of got into a long story.... Well back  my cleaning....husband is gone and I am cleaning out closets and getting rid of a lot of his crap...he may not be happy when he returns.
