Tuesday's the day!!!
Hello, LA WLS peps. Next Tuesday is it. Excited but nervous. I felt so much better about the gastric when I attended the support group in Metairie at Omega Hosp. I felt much better when I spoke to other people who had the surgery. Please say some prayer and I'll get in touch with you guys after the surgery. Also, thanks for your advice. J
My iron has been a little low so I have to take iron. Also I have a low Vit A level and have starting doubling the amount of dry A that I take. As long as you keep track of your own labs and get them every 3 months in the beginning and then every 6 months, you will be fine. Get copies of all lab results and put them in an excel speadsheet. Then you can watch if the results start to go down.
You are going to be so glad that you had the surgery. It gave me back my life.
Take care.

I'm glad you were able to hook up with some folks in Metaire. It's nice to visit, travel, etc., but when life kicks in and schedules resume, you will need good, solid, local support. It's a great weapon in this fight.
Congrats!

Thanks, ya'll. I need all the support I can get. I'm trying to not get on the 'puter too mu*****ase I read something that will scare me away from the surgery.
I'll let you guys know when I come back home, which should be on Wednesday if all goes well. Say some prayers and I'll think of ya'll too. Jan
