LONG WAY FROM HOME

I am originally from Baton Rouge and have been living in the waaay up north country ( no not Shreveport) I am in Michigan. I miss ya'll so much. I have been gone 19 years and every year gets harder to be away...Hopefully in a year or so I will be able to come home again, unfortunately, that will probably mean leaving my beautiful new grandaughter and equally as handsome 8 year old grandson. I do have a son and a very handsome grandson in Baton Rouge.  I had my gastric bypass 11/4/02. I feel great. I have gained back abput a 1/3 of the 118 pounds I lost, but, that is ok because I was terribly thin..Oh My did I say that...I do look beter at 160 than at 118, I am 5'7 and looked like a leftover over dog bone. Well thanks for letting me rattle on and for letting me sit for a while and visit....I hope to maybe be there soon..... [email protected]

Hi KajunBlues! I'm from Baton Rouge too and now live in Covington. Based on the ages of your grandchildren I figured we might be of the same generation. I graduated from Lee High in 1974 and have been gone from BR since I got married in 1982, although I still have family and friends there. It's funny, but I'm also 5'7" and weigh 160 lbs. I wanted to get to 150, but people are telling me I should stop now, and my body seems to think it's time to stop now too. I can't imagine what I'd look like at 118! Nice chatting with you--Jen
