Hi everyone, sure has been along time since I posted on here. I have not had surgery yet to this date for weight loss, but unfortunately in October of last year had to have my ankle repaired and I am currently trying my hardest to get back out of the wheelchair. They repaired 3 ruptured tendons, my nicely broken ankle in 3 places, lengthened my achilles tendon, took a bone spur out of my ankle, removed part of my heal and ankle, and put screws into my ankle to stabilze it. I was just walking through my house and broke it. Go figure. Good news is, My surgery lasted 3 1/2 hours... and I had no complications from any of it. Now we just got to get healed so I can get the gastric bypass this year. I have been reading on how well everyone has been doing. I am so proud of you guys and gals!!!! I sure hope to be posting a little more often. Francis.... my friend I sure have missed all your very encouraging words to everyone... I might need to turn on the computer more often to see them again :). Until next time..... Lori

Dearest Lori, Good to see you also. Patience, waiting and surgery are a big part of my life and as I'm just getting out of church this morning, I can't help think that the victories I've not seen, I've been allowed to share in by watching, cheering and seeing miracles in the lives of other people. Some of us are quarterbacks and some are cheerleaders, but this is one cheerleader who has tasted so much victory here that it gets addictive. My husband broke both of his knees and ruptured tendons on both sides this past summer. The day after he got out, I had surgery to remove scarring around my intestines. These are often long recoveries -- especially when excess weight is concerned -- but at least we are not along and each healing recovery gives hopes to the masses. Next year this time, I might still be waiting for the ultimate weight victory and you might be THERE. Either way, it's all great. Go, get'em! Frances
