Hello, i'm new to ObesityHelp.com and i was informed at the last meeting last week that there is a place on here where you can talk to people in your town and possibly have the same Dr. I've gotten on here several times and i'm still trying to meet some new friends. My surgery was Dec. 4, 07 in Baton Rouge by Dr. Leblanc. Please help, Thanks Lynda

Faye, What kind of dancing?  If it's couples and some good country or french music, I'll hog tie Butch and head your way. Jo

Hi Lynda, My surgery was the same day as Faye's, but mine was done by Dr. Hausmann who's in partnership with Dr. LeBlanc.  I didn't make the meeting this month but plan on being there in February. Hey Faye,  what type of dancing are y'all trying to get going?  If it's on the weekend, involves country or french music, let me know.  I'll drive from Crowley for that....... Jo

I know Crowley! I bet you can really burn a hole in the rug. I can't wait to learn from the masters ... I met Faye in December...actually asked her how the drive was from Crowley -- I's a little confused. Anyhoo, she's great and I hope you are doing great too. We need to plan something special for February -- woohoo -- excitement! Onward! Frances

Hi Lynda! I am in the Baton Rouge area as well, but used Dr. Hargroder for my VSG surgery on October 11,2007.  Welcome. I don't know where the meetings are that you are talking about. I would like to find out more about them. Are they only for Dr. LeBlanc patients?

There is another support group that meets once a week on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm at the Womens Wellness Center at the corner of Bluebonnet and Jefferson.

Hey! what about that dancing! I want to know more! Belly Dancer

Hello Just4 ... good to see you. Hope your recovery is going as well as it looks...congrats. I think our meetings are open...will check tomorrow morning. Wanted to also mention your little BellyChick is right on target. Last year, we did a bellydancing adventure -- bariatric bellydancing -- twas quite the awesome experience. This year is shaping up to be the year of the two-step, line dance, CUPID SHUFFLE ...or anything that gets us moving. As soon as dancing is set -- you will be buzzed to get your dancing shoes on. Hey, how about Bariatric Group Challenge -- show us what ya got! Take care, Frances
