Dont rush the visit with the primary doc just yet. You will need to go do all the other testing first. They will need a clearance letter from your primary dated no more than 30 days before surgery.  All mine did was check me out and the exact words on the letter from him was "Patient is cleared for bariatric surgery". They will explain everything to you when you go for your first appt.
