Anyone have any luck finding a doctor that takes medicaid?

Here is an update I sent to everyone that is working with Dr. Selim.

Per Latasha (Administer) Dr. Selim is still accepting Medicaid for weight loss surgery. Due to him being the only surgeon in the entire state of LA that takes medicaid they are backed up with responding to calls and referrals. If your doctor fax'd in the referral Latasha said to give them a few weeks to get back to you, but they will get back to you she promises. Because of the number of new patients they are not scheduling any new surgeries until Feb. To save everyone time they are referring patients to Dr. Jackson for you to complete the Medicaid requirement process. She said it averages 4 months.

So if you contacted them please be patient for a call back. If you have not contacted them have your doctor fax over the referral and hang in there. If you have any questions Latasha said her staff cares and is there to answer any questions you have.

Do you think he does revision gastric bypass surgery?... I had gastric bypass surgery in 2015 but I got pregnant 10 months out and now I am struggling losing weight again
