Returned back to La, seeking support group and fitness buddy.

Hi Everyone! I just relocated from Houston TX, back to Harvey LA (Westbank).  I had the RNY 9/12/07 and so far has lost 54 lbs. I'm seeking a monthly wls support group and it would be a pleasure to buddy up with someone in my area for workouts together. I have been thinking about joining  Jazzercize in Algiers. At any rate, I am glad to be back home, and would love to hear from the wonderful people from LA.

They have an excellent support group at West Jefferson Hospital, they meet at the fitness center next to the hospital. Get in touch with Judith at Dr. Thomas's office there at West Jefferson, he is the surgeon there and Judith is the R. N. Cooranador(sp) she is really Sweet if you do call her tell her Sabrina from the northshore said hello.

Hi Roz, glad to here from you. We are not too far away from each other.

I wanted to say welcome home, too. I hate that so many of "us" are still living out of state.  Congratulations on your weight loss. You're doing wonderful. We have a really nice support group at Ochsner Hospital. It's on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Some meetings are at noon, others are at 5:30 p.m. Very nice and supportive people. Everyone is welcomed with open arms.
