I HAVE A DATE!! I HAVE A DATE!!

I have a date!! Got the call Thursday from Dr. Bellengers office I am approved!!!!   I will have my gastric bypass done on Thursday November 29th!!! I am feeling so many different emotions right now!!! I cant sleep obviously...2am and I am still up and freaking out!!! I am excited and scared all at the same time..My stomach feels as though its been on a roller coaster ride all day!!! God I just hope and pray I am making the right decision!!  I am so concerned that I had not quit smoking until today when I got the news!! I am hoping that 2 weeks is enough time to help clear my lungs and be ok with surgery!! Any input and or encouragement is greatly appreciated!! This site has sooo many wonderul people here!! What a blessing!!!

Well bad news  Dr Bellanger has postponed my surgery.  Needless to say after I went and did ALL my pre op testing...........He said its because the hospital Vista which he operates out of will be closing in December and didnt want to risk doing surgery on me so close to the closing date....so he cancelled me until next year sometime when they find a new place to operate out of...

Does the hospital have to be a Center of Excellence Hospital, if so there is Dr. Lavin's office in Mandeville, LA that does there surgeries in Mandeville and Slidell and there is Dr. Richardson at Ochsner's on Jefferson Hwy. in New Orleans that is very good.
