Any body banded by M. Thomas?

I'm headed for pre-op for the band. Anyone use Michael Thomas in Covington?

Hey, I was banded by Dr. Thomas last Dec. I really liked him, although I have not seen him since I had my surgery. He did a great job and I love my band.  Hope you have a good experience with him! CJ

Any regrets? It seems you are doing quite well. How long did it take to get back to work after surgery? I'm on hold until I have a colonoscopy (first one)............hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It took me about ten days to get over the hump, which seems to be a good bit longer than most folks. I had rampant diarrhea and was basically getting no nutrition. But once that went away, I was good to go.  My only regret is that I did not do it sooner, would do it again in a heartbeat and use Dr. Thomas again.  Good luck with the scope, that sounds like major FUN! I have a friend that had gastric bypass 5 years ago with Dr. Thomas, and he actually is one of the first doctor's to do these types of surgery here in Louisiana. My friend has lost 204 pounds and has kept it off. Hope this helps. I had RNY Gastric Bypass 3 1/2 months ago and have lost almost 90 pounds. So, hope this helps. I know it is a difficult decision to make, but my friend and myself have no regrets at all! Titania
