Dr Chung ..gimme the low-down

Dr Chung did my Gastri bypass lap and he was wonderful and MArcy is right there also.  She gives you her cell # ad you can call her day or night. I was ins pay and after surgery I came home and started feeling bad the next day and I called Marcy on the Friday night and then the Saturday morning I called her back and she advised me to go to Lake Charles to the ER and when I got there Dr Chung was right there to see about me and I was released the Sunday and could not ask for better,  He even called me at home several days later to make sure I was ok.  Dr. Chung is great I would do it again with him in a heart beat.

I love hearing about him...He sounds GREAT!!!  I am glad to hear he took suck good care of you...I hope everything is better now!

Hi guys, I had my first appointment with Dr. Chung this morning.  All the comments are true.  He and his staff are awesome.  I chose the VSG, but he explained all the options to me in detail answering all my questions.  After he finished he asked if I still wanted the VSG and I told him yes. His staff called United Healthcare for me and found out that they do pay for VSG(YaHoooo).  Now I just have to wait for UHC to approve my surgery.  They told me it could be 3-4 weeks.   Guess I'll just have to be patient. I like Dr Chung,he and marci are both awsome.I dont feel real great about the sleave thing because I dont like the idea of haveing any part of your tummy removed,but if hes doing it it must be a good thing.I have to research that.I had the band a few years ago with him

I go for my consult on Wens..I just can not wait...When you finally made a life changing decision....patience just goes out the window!!!   I love to hear how many people love him...I have not heard anything bad about him yet....makes me feel like my choice in doctors was a good one!

The only thing I can say is Dr Chung is a wonderful Dr. His staff is great. I had rny almost 2 yrs ago. Not one problem what so ever. I started out at 325lbs. I am now at 150lbs. Total of 175lbs lost. I have never been happier in my life, Dr Chung changed my life. I have total trust and faith in him. I can not say it enough he is a great dr....... Good luck to you. You will be in good hands

If I may ask, why did you go with the gastric sleeve?

I chose the sleeve for a lot of reasons.....The lap band has lots of issues with slippage, erosion, and sometimes very slow weight loss.  Not to mention the foreign object be placed in there....  The gastric bypass has all the issues with dumping, and rearranging of your insides..I was not interested in any of that. The sleeve was so simple.  Just restriction.  I can eat what I want.  I plan to eat as healthy as I can, I didnt go through all of this to just go back to the old habits.... I hope this helps!
