Been a while...

Hi, everyone. Sorry to have dropped off the face of the planet like that, but I've been even busier than usual lately. But I'm always up for coffee, so who wants to meet me at Puccino's within the next couple weeks? BTW, I just had my first surgiversary, and by coincidence, I also got a haircut. It's way, way shorter than I had expected, so I'll probably be growing it out to a chin length bob. But for now, I've posted pics on my profile of what it looks like. As for weight loss, I actually have no idea what I weigh (scale broke, and I never bothered to get another one), but I'm wearing size 12's. Given that I started out wearing 24's, I'm pretty happy. Anyway... coffee, anyone?

I know! I hit the one up here last weekend and really made a killing. They have the best jeans in the world for $11.88 (my daughter got some). Now that I can wear a 12 (in Ann Taylor world) I'm able to find a lot more stuff there. I could probably get down there for 5:30 (I leave work at 5). I have been going to the  gym about four evenings a week but usually take one day off, so whatever's good for you, I can plan ahead. Jen

Hi! I am thinking of using Dr. LeBlanc for the gastric surgery. Did you like him? Any concerns I need to know about?

Hello Momof4, Most of things I say about Dr. LeBlanc come up sounding like a well-oiled commercial. One, I'm a journalist and two, he's just that good. There are many things in life that seem conscience, but Karl LeBlanc is nothing short of a planned miracle in my life. He is trained and skilled to handle our problems as bariatric patients and any other demands that come along. Hey Girl I want to meet up with ya'll but on the 11th of August is my daughter Kayla's wedding so I will be very busy for the next two weeks. I have been doing great working out five to seven days a week doing water aerobics at the y and in my pool at home. I have lost a total of 55 pounds since surgery on May 7th and a total of 169 since I started this in June of 2006. I have gone from wearing a 5X to a 26 top and stretch pants size 38 to a size 28-30 stretch jeans. Off of all meds except fluid pill for my Lymphedema and vitamins. Have my next appt. with Dr. Kennedy on August 1st and I guess my last one with her before I start seeing Dr. Richardson.
