Newbie onboard

Just wanted to make my first post and say hello to everyone. I had the sleeve performed on July 2nd by Dr Bellanger....Im excited and a little uninformed. I think Ive been confusing hunger with a real obsession for good food...and bad food.Im home for my second night, thinking that TV commercials seem to be 80 percent restaraunt ads, and chicken broth is barely cutting it. Man, this is tougher than I thought, I keep thinking "IM STARVIN, HERE" but actually, Im not hungry at all...Im just really used to eating. Bare in mind, Im 5'8" and 421lbs, thats down from 437 pre-op.Im thrilled with the results. And completely ashamed of how my mind is feening, almost going through withdrawls without food!!!    Has anyone experienced a sharp pains in the chest area right after swallowing anything? It almost feels like really bad gas, but only last about 30-45 seconds then gone....sorta like a brain freeze, but instead, a chest freeze?   I was sipping on a ISOPURE drink today, and not realizing what I was doing, drank about 8-10 oz within ten minutes.....without any negative results...shouldnt that have made me sick or something?   Readin through the posts gives me tons of encouragement, I only wish there were more sleeve patients here.

Hello there. Welcome, and congradulations on your surgery. You seem to be doing really well this early out. First, as for the pain in the chest, it just sounds like you are drinking too fast. Try slowing down, and if it persists, call your doctor and start asking questions. Also, there is a forum on here for people that had the GastSleeve surgery. Good luck.

i had mine done 05/02/07 i did not start getting hugery till 2 wks. just because you think you can put 8 to 10 oz in your  belly dont do it now wait. u dont want to inlarge you new belly now.if u do you just awell **** up a rope. you gota treat it like a baby.
