support meeting in Lafayette???

Please let me know when the support meetings are at Southwest Medical Center for Dr. Chu's patients.

Hi there,  I'm new here, but I noticed that you asked when the support group is in Lafayette.  The next one is July 31st  and the August one is on Aug. 28th.  They start at 5:30 p.m.  but some of us get there early to visit and talk in the lobby area.  My surgery is on the 29th (next Friday)  so I won't be at this one, but hopefully I'll be there next month!  Jan

i would like to know if anyone go even if they did not have surgery there.irealy need to get in a support group.... lafayette is alot closer than baton rouge

Yes, anyone can go to the support meetings, I've been going since September of last  year, and I just had my surgery on June 29th, 11 days ago!   The support group meetings are well run, and we have our own website that is run by a man from Lake Charles.  He does a great job at posting all kinds of info for us.  There's also going to be a Fashion Show in September I believe, and they are great!   The meetings are for anyone that wants to attend, and they have a class from either the dietician or the physical therapist for a few minutes first, then we break up into groups.  You can also find a Bari Buddy to help you out if you have any questions.  I hope this helps....If you have any more questions, just let me know    Jan
