B-A-D news about knee, ahhh

Well I finally broke down and went to the doctor, after literally breaking down and crying my ass off cause my knee was hurting soo bad I couldn't even walk,, Well he told me in some HUGE word that of course I didn't write down that I need surgery BAD!,, And I wouldn't be out of pain, no matter I take pain killers, anti inflammatorys and physcial therapy ,, all of which I am doing now,, minus the phsyical therapy cause it hurts too freakin bad to move and they are waiting til I get my MRI and SURGERY,, well he said what is happening is,, you have a minor and major patella knee cap/bone thing) and they are separted by ligaments, muscle tisuse and tendons and all that nice stuff that helps them not slide over each other and touch, it cusions them.. Well since my body decided I have a ton of cushion else where (on my butt for sure),, it took all my "cushion" from there,, all that nice tendon, ligament, muscle stuff, and my patella's are playing SLIP AND SLIDE,, and F#%# YES,,it hurts as bad as it sounds.. My doc said alot of doctors would tell you off your knee for months , physcial therapy for life and pain meds and anti inflammorties, but he said he's going to save me alot of time and money,, So he'll do what he KNOWS I need and will end up needed in the long run,, I need SURGERY ,,, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ,, get this **** this sounds sooo freakin nasty,,,, To shave,,SHAVE I said,, the 2 patella's so they no longer slide together and cause this jolting pain every time I walk,, and now that I think I'm a cute lil thing, I don't want to stay inside and sit,, so my phat butt goes to walmart , gets one of those cute electric wheel chairs and does my stuff,, but now even the walk from the car and the walking and standing getting ready is killing me,,, So I can no longer put off my MRI which I have done all last week,, I have to go get in done in the next 2 days,, cause my doctor told me I could workout but only in the pool,, Well STUPID me tried that today,, and OMGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGG kick me in the with a steel toe boot,, something snapped and now I can't walk AT ALL unless it snaps, crackles , and pops,,, and I am screaming like a baby kitten wanting milk,, so I am in bed now waiting til 8am so I can call the doctor and tell him I funked up my knee even more,, don't know what I did today but it brought me to tears,, SOOO I know alot of you are nurses and such,, yall heard of this? Give me the low down if you know,, Does the surgery hurt, how long will I be on bed rest,, ??? My doctor says I won't be able to be a paramedic again, BUT NO FREAKIN WAY,, There's NO way I can do a desk job the rest of my life which is his recommendation,, I will kill myself,, Thats soooooo boring,, I am/was in the process of looking for a job too and now I am screwed,, I'll be homeless on the streets with a bum knee now,, lmao, guess it fits the requirments for a homeless person though doesn't it,,, Ok so I have wrote LONG enough that I am SURE I lost half of you half way down,, but if you did read it all, THANK YOU SO MUCH,, and any help, advice , or telling me to shut up is cool!!!!

Hi Baby Girl, I'm so sorry you are hurting and, no doubt, losing your mind. I don't have the right words, but I know that there are few accidents in the highway of our lives. Just go with the flow and see where life takes ya. Call me when you can and let's see if there's anything I can do to help. ok, so shut up... just kiddin!! I know you're in a lot of pain... but he's right... you may not remember I broke my knee and was off of it for a while... you're lucky he's not saying that you need a TKR (Total Knee Replacement)... and FYI... you better sit down and LOVE that desk job... I know a nurse who had the surgery you're describing (worn ligaments and lack of cartilage)... she got a surgery repair and 4 days later was walking on it (not supposed to yet) and tore it so bad that it could not be fixed.... now she needs a total knee replacement.... So do it, and DON"T push... or you could end up dependant on the wheelchair permanently, instead of temporarily. {{{HUGS}}} consider your butt kicked... you know better than to not listen to the MD.

Hi sweetie! I'm so sorry to hear about your knee. I went through knee surgery very similar to yours when I was 16 and was on crutches for about 4-6 weeks. They shaved the underside of my kneecap just like you described. If I remember correctly, I was in the hospital for a few days but up and around on crutches the very first day. It didn't really hurt after the first day, but I was given pain meds in the event I was in pain. Make sure that you follow your doctor's instructions and don't pu**** I know that you want to be active and be a paramedic, but your health is the most important thing. Consider driving the truck and being a supportive role for the EMTs, etc. instead of actually doing the physical work. At least you'll be participating in helping injured people. Keep us posted! XOXO
