Metairie NEXT week -- 5/10/07

Hi, everyone. Sorry I haven't been around online lately. Last week, DH and I moved back to Chalmette (not to our house, but to another apartment in order to be closer to work and our rebuilding efforts). It's good to be back in "da Parish," but things are definitely nowhere near back to normal around here. One of the shocking things is how long it takes to get utilities set up here, which is why we were without internet access for over a week. Bellsouth/AT&T doesn't offer service to much of the area, and Cox has been picking up the slack, though this has resulted in long wait times for service. Fortunately, though, we're back online now. Anyway, because I was not able to post a reminder for our Metairie gathering, which was supposed to be tomorrow (5/3), I'd like to go ahead and postpone it for next week. Hi Nowal, I am having surgery on Monday so I will just be getting out of the hospital. So I will thinking of ya'll Thursday night. Tell everyone hello.

Hi Pattie, I am going to be in recovery around that time, but my parents and husband should be there in the waiting room. If you want to give them to them that would be great. I don't think I will be up to coming that night.I hope your visit goes well.
