Cajun Xpress (Dan) was in an accident

Thank you all for your prayers & calls. We are home now. Dan was trying to get a fire started on the 'burn pile', he poured gas on the pile and went to light it with a long lighter and it exploded on him blowing him backwards to the ground. He came in to the house calling my name and he went to jump ti to the cold shower saying that he would be ok. I was begging him to let me take him to the ER. He resisted for a few minutes and then told me to call 911. Meanwhile, I had sent the kids in opposite directions to get the neighbors to put the fire out. It was raging huge. A neigthbor saw the whole thing and rode over here on his 4 wheeler to help us. THANK GOD that we have AWESOME neighbors!! The ambulance came and treated him in the truck for about 20 mins getting morphine started and gauzing him up. His arms, legs, hands, and face were burned. 3rd degree on his right hand & arm. 2nd degree on his legs and left arm & hand. 1st degree on his face, singed his hair, eyebrows, and what used to be a goatee. His right hand & arma are the worst. His fingers are like one solid blister. Several blisters have already burst. He even has blisters on his face. I have to change his bandages twice a day and call the Dr in the AM. Keep my sweet man in your prayers! Lindy

Oh Lindy that's terrible, but I'm glad he is alright. I hope he heals fast burns can be so uncomfortable. I know you will take good care of him so he is in good hands. Tina
