Any Hargroder/Bellanger/Vista Patients out here?

If so, how was your experience.....staff? aftercare?, etc. I'm coming Iin from out of state and hope to be a sleeve sister soon....actually May 9th YAY Thanks, Jill

Hey Jill! I see you in the VSG room from time to time... I just had my seminar with Dr. Bellanger and I met his staff. They are really great. Check with Felix about Vista since he just got out yesterday... He's been posting today and is feeling great. ~Lauren~

You will be very pleased with the staff and service you receive at Vista. Dr. Hargroder performed the Sleeve procedure on my 02/08/07. I have never been treated so nicely and with so much compassion as I was by the surgeon's staff as well as the hopsital staff. My husband even commented that he had never been to a hospital that took such great care of their patients. Not to mention, they were so nice to my 2 boys and husband. The staff made sure they were comfortable too. I was very impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone. The aftercare is great too. I wasn't even expecting a phone call at home but one of the nurses called to check in on me. Also, within a week you have a checkup with the surgeon. Then you go back in a month, then 2 months, etc. depending on how you are doing. The staff is available for you to call anytime. I have called several times and they are very helpful to answer all of my questions. Of course, you are out of state so you will probably be following up with your regular physician. DR. Bellanger did my RNY. I want to warn you that I WOULD NOT LET HIM OPERATE ON MY DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He does not care about his patients and he will not follow up with you. If you have complications, you are ON YOUR OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am warning you, he does not know what he is doing.

Hello....I'm sorry your RNY did not go as you wanted. Here is my quick story: Had my RNY @ Vista by DR.Bellenger on 5-17-06. in ICU one day had tests on day 2 to check pouch. Went home on day 3. Followed the food program as layed out by the DR. @ one month Iwas not feeling well at all and passed out at home. My wife call Dr Bellenger's office at 6:00 am on a Friday. His nurse called back within 20 Min. They told her to brig me to Vista ASAP. Was meet at the door and was in a room within Min. of getting there. After talking to Dr.Bellenger at about 7:30 he said I must have a stricture.( spell) Got hooked up to an IV an was back in the OR by 11:00 same day. He did find a stricture and fixed it. and I was home by 6:00pm. Dr. Bellenger and his staff have been there for me all along this process. I started out at 343lbs and now weigh 198lbs as of today. I would use Dr.Bellenger and Vista if I had other needs no question. I would also let him treat my wife and child if they ever needed it. Good luck Mark

Hi there, My husband Felix had the VSG by Dr. Bellanger on 4/17/07. I couldn't be more impressed with the way he was treated at the hospital. Doc met with me after the surgery while Felix was in recovery and answered all of my questions and even answered questions for my situation. Not once did I feel rushed or uncomfortable with him. He came into the room and checked on him that evening and the next morning before he was released. The staff was remarkable I can't say enough. Good luck with your surgery. i had drew hargroder. three years in june and it has been wonderful!!! i think he did an excellent job. i have seen many people in my town have it and i don't feel they have done so well. no problems here. his staff went beyond the call of duty!!

Dr. Hargroder performed my surgery on 3/15/07. He and his staff treated me like family from my first consult till today. I have never been so impressed with a doctor and staff in my life! I weighed 464 the day of surgery and am down to 196, I run 3.5 miles 5 days a week and my life is better than I ever dreamed it could be.

i know u already had the vsg done by now so what can i say....
