HELP ME Before its too late
I was never given or taught the proper way to use my TOOL, so now I am eating more and making bad food choices. So I have been reading the rules of the pouch and I am in need of a list of low fat protein foods, a list of low starch veggies and what are solid fruits. I need this list so I can use my tool properly and get out of the rut I am in before its too late---Amanda
Amanda,
Did you see a nutrionist prior to your surgery? If you did maybe she can help you plan a meal plan that would work for you.
Now I am at a point that I eat regular meals but I do watch my intake. I still try to get as much protein as possible in and then go for my veggies and fruit. Fish, chicken are good sources of low fat protein. Beef would have more fat and some people can't tolerate it as well. A good source of veggies are your green ones, stay away from potatoes and corn they are full of startch. As far as solid fruits can't help you there not sure what that is.
I encourage you to check out this website. This was a great service to me early in my recovery. www.fitday.com. You can track your weight and your food intake. It is very helpful. Not only will it help with your calorie intake but your protein as well.
Good luck,
Jodi
Amanda,
If you have a fax number, I can fax the information I have with a list of foods. I will scan the document tonight and see if I can email it to you. If anyone else wants it -- just drop me a note.
I'm 7 weeks out and this binder costs me 300 bucks plus access to the nutritionist so I'm using and sharing the information with anyone who needs it.
I have a fax at my work which the number is 337-494-7746 please put attention Amanda Fruge. But if you could email it that would be better it is [email protected]. Thank for you so much for all your help.--God Bless
