No I haven't got it completely straight they told me last night that they are not yet a Center of Excellent Hospital yet and they can't do Medicare until they do and they said there is a six to nine month waiting list

Hey Girl, I called and spoke w/ reception.. You are correct.... Dang.. she wouldn't tell me the waiting list time frame tho.. This is crazy.. Checking into different surgeons as well....... Looking at Oschner in NO.. Kennedy.. I will still go on next Thurs to my apt w/ nurse at surgeons ofc just to see what the heck is going on and to see how long that wait is......... that is a big factor on who i end up using. I don't mind waiting a bit but no six to nine months.. that is way to long.... Let me know if you find out any more info..... Gezz i hope we don't have to go to another seminar..... LOL.. Michele

Michele--I used Dr. Kennedy and I loved her. I got approval on Dec. 29 and my surgery date was Jan. 22. I think 2-3 weeks is their usual wait time from approval to surgery. Good luck. (I live in Covington too). Jen

Well my surgeon takes Humana Gold but it has to be a center of excellence. That is the problem.. Will check out STPH tho.. Thanks. Michele
