Total newbie

Hey, Cindy: Congrats on making a great decision that will change your life. I have only been banded since Dec., but it has already been so worth it. I have lost 30 lbs and, but the best thing is how my relationship with food is changing. It is no longer a focus of my life and I am enjoying being able to make other things a priority. I am also enjoying wearing smaller pants! I have a long way to go, but I could have never made it even this far without the band. It is truly a miracle I have been blessed to receive! Best wishes! Welcome, Cindy! I had lap band surgery in September of 2005 and have lost 105 pounds thus far. My surgeon was Dr. Thomas Lavin in Covington. He's awesome and i would recommend him to anyone. Welcome, and congratulations on making one of your best decisions ever. I don't know a whole lot about the Band, but the lovely ladies who answered your post have done wonderfully with it! Find out which surgeons your insurance covers, then attend their seminars and see what they have to say, and make your decision accordingly. Good luck!
