Newbie Waiting on the Bench

Hello there...I am on the bench waiting for approval from Tricare Prime for gastric bypass surgery. Are any of you fellow Louisianaians Tricare Prime? Can you offer a newbie some advise on how to make ready to get off the bench? I am in Shreveport.

I am Tricare Standard. I have heard that prime is better. I was approved in two days after the docs office submitted everything. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy Tricare is to work with regarding this surgery. Good luck to you on your journey. Cindee

Thanks Cindee for replying to my message. It has been a week since I had my appointment with my Doc here in Shreveport and we "decided" that gastric bypass is the thing for me and still no word on the approval. However, his insurance lady may not have had the chance to submit it for approval yet. I am not the most patient person anyway but waiting to hear about whether or not I will get a chance a a new life is agony. Your kind words have made me less anxious today- thanks for that! Valarie

Thanks Jodi- Where are you in North LA-we live in Shreveport. Yes, my whole family is into Nascar as well as LSU football and the Saints. We are excited about Daytona too! My driver has been Jeremy Mayfield for years and my 2nd driver is Jimmie Johnson, my husband likes Jeff Gordon, our son likes Kasey Kane, and our daughter likes Mark Martin. How about you? Hi Valerie, I live in Greenwood right off I-20. Well, we have alot of the same drivers as favorites. I have always been a Gordon fan, but have recently changed drivers. I love Kasey Kane. He is so adorable. My husband has always love Mark Martin, one child is for Dale Jarrett the other for Jr. One just agrees with which ever parent he is trying to side with. My husband and I go to Texas every year and this will be his second year going to Bristol. I grew up around Daytona and we went every year. My mom is 83 and still goes every year to Daytona. Valarie, I just wanted to say hello and good luck with everything. I know you will do very well. I am 17 motnhs out now. I have had no problems. I too love NASCAR my hubby and I go to Talladega in Oct every year. I can't wait to go this year too. So who is your fav driver? I have 2 Dale JR and Tony Stewart..... Hey Chrisy, Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear that you have not had any problems, WOW! I hope that I have the good luck that you have. We usually go to the Texas race and every other year we go to the Daytona race in July so we can take the kids to DWorld. They are older now (22-son and 17-daughter) so they may not want to go this year but it all depends on my surgery success.
