Desperate for a change--Need to know

Hey Jackie, Thanks for your note. I thought I was on that forum! I guess I'm not tracking right! I wonder since you chose the sleeve--how much weight do u need to lose? Are you concerned about the fact that there are no long-term studies for results? That is what they keep telling me. Also, that it is permanent where the other 2 surgeries can be reversed. I think I want to go back to the surgeons office for another group discussion. I am still working on financing as my credit was bad and banks don't want to touch me. I am working with a mortgage broker on a second mortgage. I will look for the sleeve forum as you suggested. Good luck to you and keep me posted please. Thanks, Jodie

I have right at 100 pounds to lose and would be happy with 75. There are some folks on the forum that have lost more. Although other surgeries could be reversed, they VERY RARELY are. Versions of this surgery are also don for pts who have bad ulcers, stomach cancer, etc and has been around for a while. SO I feel pretty good about the choice. Good luck in your journey! Jackie
