Baby and Me Update.

Just wanted to let everyone know the doctor's think I'm having a girl. Not 100 percent sure but didn't see anything down there so they are going with girl. I have another ultrasound in two months and they will check again. Me and baby are doing fine she is a little above average on weight so that is good. I was a little worried cause at six months I have only gained 11lbs which is barely above the lowest recommended weight range for me. But doc says that is fine the baby is healthy and I'm healthy so nothing to worry about. He also says mine iron is outstanding for a pregnant women especially one that has had WLS. So everything is going fine no problems so far. And I plan on keeping it that way if possible. For anyone interested just do what the doctor's tell you to do and everything will be just fine, they do know what they are talking about. Hope everyone is doing well. Tina, hey girl!!!! I was thinking about you and wondering if you had been to the doc yet and if you had any idea on what the baby was yet. So are you happy to have a girl she would make it one of each. Have you thought of a name for her yet? My cousin only gained a total of 15 pounds with her second child after having her wls in june of 2004. She was 10 months out when she got pg with Emma. Well glad to hear from ya... I'm just happy to be having a baby been waiting a long time for this one. No we haven't picked any names yet we where thinking it would be a boy so didn't even consider girls names. At the rate I'm gaining I may not even gain 15 but he said that is fine as long as she is gaining and I'm not sick then we are getting what we need and not to worry about it so I'm not. Thanks. Tina

yeah i will be happy just to get pg, a friend of mine did that too she just knew she was having a boy and did not even think of girl names. She had a girl first so she really wanted a boy but surprise she had a second girl. the doctor told my cousin Ashley the same thing that as long as the baby was growing she was ok. chrissy

I am so glad your pregnancy is going well. When are you due? I hope to finally have a baby after I reach my goal. How long did you wait after your WLS to start convceiving? I'll be a year in September and I am hoping my dh and I can start trying in early 2008.

Thanks I'm due May 28th. I waited exactly one year. Doctor said at least a year. He wanted me to be at goal but with all the extra skin that wasn't possible. I needed to lose 20 more pounds to be at goal and nothing I did could get those last twenty pounds off.

Thanks! If my dh and I start trying at the end of this year I'll be over a year out. My best friend is due around the same time as you.

Hey Tina! Glad to hear everything is going well with you and the baby. I think I saw you Saturday, did you go to Circle K to get gas? LOL.... We need to have lunch sometime soon. Let's try to get a small group together and see if we can make it work out. I know you work now, so it may not be possible, but I would love to see you again. Cindee

I would love to see everyone again to. I asked Frances in one of my post if she was gonna have any meetings but she didn't answer. I can't do a lunch but I could do something after 2 or a day when school is out except the 15th already have plans that day.

Great! Maybe we could plan somthing for the Monday the kids are out for Mardi Gras?
