Just introducing myself

Hi all....I'm from LA (westbank) it's nice seeing local faces on this board! I am 12 weeks post op, doing very well, no complications....taking one day at a time.

Hi Amy! I used to live on the westbank in Algiers. We moved after the Hurricane to the northshore (Covington). My surgery is on Jan. 22nd and I hope I'm like you--no complications. Glad to meet you. Where did you have your surgery? Which dr.? Jen

I had my surgery at Omega hospital with Dr. Thomas Lavin. I can honestly say, this surgery was 10X easier than my 2 c-sections! The only thing I can say is, I suffered from gas pains in my back and chest the day of surgery, I was walking those halls non stop to get rid of the gas. This may be too much info, but it may also help you, one nurse suggested I sit on the tiolet (even though I didnt have to go) she said your body will expell the gas.....WELL....after 10 mins of sitting there willing to try anything at that point.....the rockets started...lol....pain went away!!!! What hospital are you going to and what Dr? Good Luck!!! Amy

Amy, it is nice to meet you Dr Lavin did my surgery too. I had mine August 16,2005 at Lakeview. I have not had any complications either. He is a great doctor. Welcome to the board. Chrissy 226/139/135
