Got the word today that I'm approved for surgery. I think I must have been subconsciously bracing myself for bad news. Now I'm just waiting to hear back on the date. I'm getting a new me for the New Year!!!! YEAH!!! Jen

Thank you Chrissy. I found out that I'll be having surgery on Jan. 22, 2007!!! Nervous and excited and suddenly just can't wait. Thanks for all the support I get here at OH. It's really great. Jen

Jen, That is great news!!!!!!! I was excited too I was to have my srug orginally in May of 2005 but found out I had pnuemonia in my right lung 3 weeks before I was to have it. So after I got over it I was set back up for Aug.16,2005. Once I got everything set up again I was excited and a bit touchy too since the first time something got in the way. But surgergy day was here before I knew it. So how much weight do you want to lose? I was a light weight so I only had to lose 90 pounds. I have now lost 89 pounds. my goal wight is 130-135. So I am not far from it. I was just ready to get back to a healthly weight. Now I can wait to get all of my plastics done... Well hope things go well for you.... Hugs, Chrissy

Chrissy--that's so weird what you said about having pneumonia. I'm sitting here trying to get over the flu and hoping it doesn't develop into pneumonia. I'm coughing my lungs out and I've been running a fever off and on since Wed. I'm hoping to get it all cleared up before Jan. 22. I'm also a lightweight (I guess). My dr.'s goal for me is 150 which is 115 to lose. I'd like to get to 143, an odd number but it's where I always settled as a young adult. Personally, I can't even imagine getting anywhere near there, really. But the more I read about people like you, the more I begin to believe that it really can. Thanks for your support. Jen
