METAIRIE and MANDEVILLE Roundups, Tentative Schedule

OK, folks, let's do it! I've tabulated everyone's forum and PM responses, and here's what I would like to propose. METAIRIE: In Metairie, let's plan to meet on the FIRST Thursday of every month at PUCCINO'S by Lakeside. Let's plan for 6:00 pm, but whoever wants to can arrive earlier or later. Dates would be as follows: 2006: 12/7 2007: 1/4, 2/1, 3/1, 4/5, 5/3, 6/7, 7/5, 8/2, 9/6, 10/4, 11/1, 12/6 MANDEVILLE: In Mandeville, let's plan to meet on the THIRD Thursday of each month, also at 6:00, give or take. I was thinking PJ's on Highway 22 (just west of Causeway) would be a good place to meet, but I've heard that there's a Garrison's Global Coffee Bar in the same area. If this is true and the place is open, it might be preferable because they serve some light food items. La Madeleine would be perfect, but they close at 3:00 on weekdays. Any thoughts? Anyway, here are the proposed Mandeville dates. 2006: 12/21 2007: 1/18, 2/15, 3/15, 4/19, 5/17, 6/21, 7/19, 8/16, 9/20, 10/18, 11/15, 12/20 Everyone, please let me know if these dates are OK overall. Of course, some of us aren't going to be able to make every single date, but I would hope these get-togethers would take place anyway. I'll try to post reminders the week of each date.

By the way, I just want to make it clear that these are not official OH meetings, because we do not have an official OH group leader. Think of these "roundups" as informal get-togethers of individual LA forum members. That said, it sure would be nice if we could have an official OH group leader.

Me again (sorry!). I've just learned that there might be a Coffee Rani on 190 in Mandeville. If this is true, and they open on Thursday evenings, then that may be a really good place for our Mandeville meetings. Does anyone know the status of Coffee Rani in Mandeville? Thanks!

Hey! The Coffee Rani in Mandeville is on Hwy 22 which is also called 190 at that point. It's in the same shopping center as the Library and the Kmart. They are open until 8:00 pm Mon-Thurs and til 9:00 pm on weekends. I think it would be great, but I will show up wherever you decide. See you soon. Jen

Excellent! Let's plan on meeting in Mandeville at Coffee Rani. Is 6:00 OK with everyone? Of course, anyone who wants to show up a little earlier or later can certainly do so.
