dr merriman?

Hey everyone. I am having wls real soon and Dr. Merriman from Shreveport is going to do my surgery. I am from Arkansas and will travelling six hours one way. Are there any of his patients here?

I haven't had surgery yet. Still getting my papers together to send in. I am using Dr. Merriman also. Went to a seminar he held here in Alexandria a while back. I was real impressed with him and can't wait to get this show on the road. Good luck to you on your journey and keep in touch.

Thanks so much Brenda. My date is coming up really close. I am going to Doctor's hospital and they all seem so nice. I had an EGD done there and the staff was so helpful. I agree that he is a good doctor, that is why I am having it done so far away from my home. He is the best, or so I've been told.

I used him and had my surgery in December of 05. I was and still am very happy with him and all of his staff. I have absolutely nothing but praise for him. From what I have seen he does seem to have a very strict post op diet but I really was ok with that. I also think he has a great aftercare program.

I have the post op diet and instructions and know that he is a task master, but you know I am so ready to get this weight off of me and live that I will show up at his office every other week, if that is what it takes, and I live six hours from his office.

I also had surgery with Dr. Merriman Feb 22 will be 2 years ago.I love,love him and his office staff.He does have a very strict post-op diet,however his success rate speaks for itself.Hope that all goes well for you.E-mail me if there is anything that I can help you with.

Thanks Renee. I feel like I am in good hands, I guess I am just a little afraid of being so far from home. I know it's going to be okay and he is great and his staff, they are wonderful.

I am using Dr. Merriman. I did a lot of research on Doctors in LA and AR and a lot of people recommended him. I have been to one of his seminars and to my first appt at his office. I really like him. I am working on my paperwork but hope to have everything in this week. I would love, love to have my surgery before Thanksgiving. How long did it take you to get your surgery scheduled after you got all of your paperwork done???

Once you have your paper work done and the insurance information cleared, they will give you a date within two weeks. You have a lot of test and such. He will do a EGD and then a week later do the surgery. It's quick.
