Is this motivation or what???
I haven't tracked my food intake mentally or physically for awhile now. And...I haven't been losing either. So today I decided to change all of that. This is what I've eaten so far:
1 sl. r/f peanut butter on toast 140 cals. 7 protien 6.5 fats 3 sugars
1 oz hard cheese 110 cals. 7 protien 9.0 fats 0 sugars
1 frozen egg roll 110 cals. 10 protien 2.0 fats 4 sugars
1 pkg. pb crackers 200 cals. 4 protien 10.0 fats 4 sugars
1 skinny cow ice cream sand. 140 cals. 3 protien 1.5 fats 15 sugars
Totals: 700 cals. 31 protien 29.0 fats 23 sugars
It's only 2:30 p.m. and I still have the rest of the day to go. It doesn't seem like I have very many calories left to squeeze in the rest of my protien with!!!! Anyhow, today I really did try to make wise choices. What the heck have I been pumping into my body over the past month or two? No wonder I'm reverting back to my old ways. What this tells me is that I've been eating too much and not the right stuff.
Now, a question for everyone. How many calories, grams of protien, fat and sugar do you allow yourself while you are still trying to lose? I can't seem to find my book right off and really want to lose these last 12.5 pounds before the holiday****
Oh and I walked for the first time in a long time, too! 40 minutes at the park with Tony Bennett. What a beautiful day to walk, cool enough to wear a sweater. Even had a little spring in my step.
Have a great weekend!

Hey Peggy.
I'm about the same distant out as you and I have reached my goal weight now, at 108 pounds (84 down since highest weight). I noticed along the way that when I got on a kick of those oh-so-yummy and easy-to-digest peanut butter crackers, my weight loss slowed and I tended to snack a bit more. Carbs for some reason, seem to effect me more after surgery than they did prior to surgery. My body quickly converts those to sugar and if I am not burning those calories by exercising, my body will hold on to those like there's no tomorrow and my weight loss slowed. If I focus more on protein and snack on peanuts or beef jerky, my weight would drop after about a week. Also, if I increased my water intake (yuk, I know), my weight would pick up again.
So, that's my only piece of advice from my experience is to not necessarily watch caloric intake, but really pay attention to those carbs as they will cause you to want to eat more and thus take in more calories. That's my method.
