Support group in Lafayette,La

Is there a support group in lafayette,la. I will be moving home in lafayette in December. If not I would like to start one. Helen(France)

Hi Helen, I have seen notices about a support group that meets at a Lafayette hospital. I'm not sure of the details. I'm sure, however, that an area can't have enough support groups. I'm active in two in Baton Rouge and I'm a big cheerleader for those taking root in New Orleans and Alexandria. A dream of mine would have the state's weight loss support groups coming together for joint events. Support groups also meet in Covington, Slidell, Lake Charles, Shreveport and (maybe) Monroe. Yes, in Lafayette at Southwest Medical Center, the contact person is Bridget Boudreaux, I heard they have a wonderful support group meeting. I live not far from there but I have never attended one of their meetings due to not much free time after work. In fact they were on our local news just about 2 weeks ago. They even had a fashion show for their group. I wish i could of gone but I missed it. hope this info. helps. Kateri
