Lactose intolerant? And a question on hunger and fullness

I had a rough night with the gas. I drank a CIB made with fat free skim milk last night and in a matter of hours I was so gassy and uncomfortable. Honestly the gas pain was almost as bad as it was Thursday night. I had some CIB in the hospital yesterday morning and mid afternoon and it didn't make me feel this way. However, I did eat the 1 oz things of vanilla yougurt they gave me, so maybe that is why the CIB didn't bother me in the hospital? I passed a lot of the gas late last night and earlier this morning (sorry if that's TMI) and feel a lot better. I am going to eat vanilla yogurt for breakfast instead of a CIB since yogurt is lactose-free. Should I try another CIB later and hope I don't get gassy or should I have my hubby buy some Lactaid drops as a precaution? I just don't want to keep going thru this pain because other than the gas pains, I feel OK with just the usual amount of soreness. I don't feel "hungry" yet, but I am trying to eat. I am also making an effort to get my liquids in. My question is that if I don't feel hungry, how will I feel if I am full? Is it the same feeling of fullness one has before WLS? I just don't want to overeat and end up dumping. Should I just start with 4 oz of yogurt and see how I feel afterwards and eat more if I feel that I can? Thanks!

hi, personally yogart by itself for me is horrible on my stomach, i once had to pull over my car from upper stomach gas pain, discomfort, (i had a smoothie with yogart in it) I don't feel the same fullnest, but when you eat to much, trust me, your body will well let you know, you will start belching, and then hate the site of food or smell if you overeat, so whatever you do take it slow, sometimes i eat so fast, my stomach takes a few minutes to tell my brain, you are really full,,,, good luck and one day you will feel hunger again, but hopefully it will be a good, while... good luck rhonda 298/182/140

I talked to my friend Kim, who is 3 months post-op, and she said that I'm most likely NOT lactose intolerant and that the gas will come and go the and it will get very painful at times like it did last night. I ate yogurt this morning and I felt fine afterwards. I just finished my lunch, an 8 oz CIB and am feeling OK so far. I drank it over an hour period. I actually felt a little hungry before I drank my CIB and now I feel not full, but satisfied. I haven't taken any pain meds today.
