REPOST: Dr. Merriman in Shreveport

Ok, so the free surgery was too good to be true. In my heart I knew it.
Now I am looking for a new surgeon who is close by who takes Medicare and is a COE certified by Medicare.
Dr. Merriman fits all the requirements, as does his hospital. Plus, Shreveport is 65 miles closer than north Dallas. He will be taking Medicare patients after the first of the year.
Who has had him as their surgeon and what were your impressions of him, his pre-testing, his after care, etc.

I have a BMI of 87 so I am going to have the DS with Dr. Chu and Stevens in Lafayette, LA. This is a great team of people to work with! I have Medicare and they are Center of Excellence certified already.

Here is a lady who used Dr Merriman, and used Doctor's hospital in Shreveport and has Medicare and other insurance email her maybe she can answer some of your questions.
