WASHINGTON (AP) - Consumers nationwide should not eat fresh bagged spinach, say health officials probing a multistate outbreak of E. coli that killed at least one person and made dozens of others sick. Food and Drug Administration and state officials don't know the cause of the outbreak, although raw, packaged spinach appears likely. This morning they were saying that here too but now they are saying to throw it out. I is making people in their twenties very sick so it may be a different strain. Hugs, Sandyd

It's should be throwed out. Washing it won't get rid of the E. Coli, it is embedded in the leaves. THis is the most deadly form of E. Coli and comes from cow manure. They think it may have been from contaminated irrigated water system. This E. coli can shut your kidney's down and damage them. Please don't eat. Zadie
