What did you bring to the hospital with you?

I totally forgot to ask this at my appointment on Wednesday. I figure toothebrush and toothpaste are a given, but what else? Can you wear your own pajamas/clothes or do have to stay in a hospital gown the entire time? I may just be in the hospital overnight depending on how well I'm doing the day after surgery. Thanks!

Bring your own pillow, their pillows are not the best..Also, chapstick..You should be good with that... Good luck vanessa

Wear loose fitting clothes to the hospital and you can wear them home. Take a pair of slippers to walk the halls in and a bathrobe if your prone to getting chilly. You might want to take a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner too. I took a bunch of stuff and never touched it, but did use the things I mentioned. Good luck!! Cindee

Hi, I would bring, toothbrush,toothpaste, any medicines you take daily, loose pj's to wear home, i was at the hospital 2 full days, so i had loose shorts, and loose shirts to wear around the hospital, socks, my glasses, brush, maybe shampoo, dryer, good luck ! Rhonda S.

I brought my own toothbrush/paste. I brought a pillow and some chapstick. That was really it. Oh and I did bring my make up, but ha ha ha, didn't put it on, much less think about it. I wore warm ups and a tshirt to the hospital and so that is what I wore home. Oh yea, I did bring my own gown too. I had surgery on Monday morning and went home that wednesday morning. I stayed in my gown all day tuesday. Tuesday morning I changed into my gown before I went for my leak test. Wednesday before I went home, i took a shower (okay'd by my doc) and then that is when I put on my clothes to go home. I don't know of anyone that was able to go home the very next day....that would be awesome though!!!! Good Luck

Oh yea, I did have my slippers with me too! I had to get up and walk around Tuesday a lot. I also had my socks.
